Bourbon Cream

Two words that don’t sound like they go together, but I’m here to tell you they do and taste oh so fabulous! You can find Bourbon Cream in several liquor stores, however after you make your own, you’ll never buy another!

People will mix Bourbon Cream in their coffee, over ice-cream, or drink it straight or on ice. I’ve talked to one couple, and they like it with root beer!

It’s rick and creamy, chocolate and bourbon, how could you possibly go wrong?!

Here’s how you can make it at home:

Mix in a blender: 1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 teaspoon of Hershey’s Cocoa (Dutch cocoa is even better!)

Add:

1 teaspoon of instant coffee

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 can of sweet condense milk

1 cup of bourbon

Blend well and serve!

Double the recipe for large groups or to share!

You can also pour into small bottles for gifts or save for later in your refrigerator (it will last up to a month).

I typically will have rounded teaspoons to add extra flavor! The bourbon does not have to be expensive. I’ve used Old Foster, Makers Mark and Four Roses and there wasn’t much difference.

There are different versions of this recipe out there. You can try it with Almond extract or even honey.

Give it try and let me know what you think!

Cheers!
