There comes a point in your life when you take inventory of where you are and where you’ve come from and you either are content or ready for change.
I’m ready for a change. One that is going to be big, out of my comfort zone – and fun!
They say when you set a goal make it big enough so you can’t see how it all will happen – but know it will!
So that’s what I’m doing! This website, blog and podcast is going to be about my journey of exploring the world of bourbon, the people, the places and of course the food!
The pandemic now going into our 2nd shut down in Michigan, may limit me from travel, (as I’m still caring for family members), but that isn’t going to stop me reaching out with zoom and bring this all to life!
I have informative and upbeat podcast interviews scheduled with distillery owners from Michigan. Yes Michigan! I do know that Kentucky is the heart and soul of bourbon – and I will get there too in 2021, but I am starting in my home state.
Michigan’s craft beer industry has grown to well over 250 microbreweries in the past few years, and now the bourbon craze is exploding with over 50 spirit distilleries throughout the state already, and it’s going to be fun learning about them all and taste testing as I go!
Many of the Michigan distilleries are using locally grown products and are environmentally conscious in producing their spirits. The results are rich full flavors that are winning awards and gaining recognition in the industry.
